“Maddie has been a friend of mine since we were freshman in college, and as such I've watched her hone her craft into the pure magic that it is today. I have been in awe of the warmth and emotion that Maddie is able to capture in photos for a decade now. Their talent is beyond what someone can learn through practice, and they are truly a master of their craft.
So when my partner and I decided to get married as our 10th anniversary celebration, I already knew we would have to fly Maddie out to photograph the day. I also knew that our wedding would be unlike any other (not to toot my own horn, but we are really creative weirdos), and I knew that I didn't trust anyone else to capture the immense love and joy of the day as well as Maddie could. With her vast professional experience, having her on our vendor team was a dream. She is extremely competent with communication and scheduling, so it was a relief to have one less thing to worry about knowing the photography for the day would happen seamlessly.
We received our preview photos the same night as our wedding and it was immediately obvious that we had made the right choice. The photos are so beautiful, and so filled with emotion, I'm honestly at a loss for words about how magical they are. My partner is notoriously uncomfortable with having his photo taken and Maddie is both so good at directing subjects and capturing candids that we look like professional models in every shot. I posted some really sweet moments of my brother and my husband having their yarmulkes / kippas put on, and a friend of mine responded ‘What movie about Jewish weddings is this from and why haven't I seen it?!’
